Lennon is a small adult neutered male Rat Terrier mix with a striking black and white/cream short coat, currently in Jacksonville, FL. He doesn’t have special needs but does benefit from a secure, predictable environment.

About Lennon

Lennon came into rescue in early 2024 after being abandoned and tied to a fence. His original rescuer put in the work to help him get used to a leash and meet new people and pets. When they couldn’t keep him, the rescue stepped in to give him another chance. He's much more than a good-looking dog, though. Once Lennon bonds with someone, he's fiercely loyal and protective. After a short adoption that didn’t stick—mostly because the home didn’t have a fenced yard—he’s back in rescue and settling in with familiar canine friends. Lennon's vigilant nature means he watches everything happening outside and can react when there’s a lot of commotion, people, or activity around. Lennon will need an adopter with a fully fenced yard and a relatively quiet home without much in-and-out traffic. He’s looking for an adult-only household. Lennon does best with another calm, playful, and non-barky dog as a companion. His favorite things include chasing balls, going after toys, and enjoying treats. After some time to decompress, he slides right back into play with canine pals. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
