Chloe
AvailableChloe is a senior female Dachshund, currently in Plant City, FL, and she is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She’s a small dog who is house trained and had a dental cleaning in December 2024, so her teeth are in great shape. Chloe prefers to bond with one woman and does not get along with other dogs or cats. She will need a very patient adopter willing to give her time to adjust.
About Chloe
Chloe draws plenty of attention, but people often overlook what she truly needs: time and patience. She won’t bond with you after one meeting or even two. Shelter volunteers worked for months to earn her trust, and the heart of her story is that she needs someone willing to take the slow path with her. Chloe is a 10-year-old Dachshund, surrendered after a lifetime with her family because she never warmed up to anyone but her primary person. She tends to attach to one woman and has a history of being wary of others in the home. Chloe had a dental cleaning in December 2024—her teeth are spotless, and her breath is fresh. She’s in her golden years and needs a quiet household with a very patient woman who can give her the gentle routine she craves. She’s leash-trained, but in the early months, she’ll need a fenced yard where she won't have to be harnessed or leashed just to go outside. Chloe doesn’t like to be picked up by strangers and feels stressed with too much handling. Her new adopter will need to partner closely with her rescue to help her settle into her next chapter. Chloe does not get along with other dogs or cats. She’s looking for a woman who is experienced, calm, and ready to offer consistency. Let’s make her next home one where she can finally relax. Adoption starts with patience. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
