About Sam

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Sam is a beautiful Akita who was left at the rescue's gate and has since had her personality pieced together by those who have spent time with her. Like many Akitas, she can be very selective about other dogs and should not live with cats. A home without young children is a must, as she is not comfortable around them. She appears to be kennel trained and may have once been house trained, although it is noted that she often had to stay indoors without much opportunity to go outside. Sam walks wonderfully on a leash, knows all her commands, and especially enjoys riding in the car. This stunning girl will thrive in a home with an experienced Akita owner who understands her breed's needs. As a fun fact, being born on November 28 makes Sam a Sagittarius, known for their adventurous and loyal nature. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
