Penny
AvailableThis adult female terrier is a medium-sized dog currently cared for at Putnam County Animal Care and Control. She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. Penny absolutely loves people and is seeking a committed home where she’ll live primarily indoors and be treated as part of the family.
About Penny
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Penny is a truly special terrier who instantly adores every human she meets and absolutely lives for car rides. She gets along with most dogs, but a meet and greet with your existing pets is always necessary to ensure the best fit. Penny is incredibly sweet and manages well on a leash. Her journey hasn’t been an easy one — she came from a hoarding situation, where she was left emaciated on a short lead under a camper, and after being adopted out briefly, was returned when her owner couldn't keep her. Because Penny spent much of her time outside, she will need some work with housetraining, and her new family must be dedicated to making her an indoor companion for life. She’s ready for someone who will give her the love, patience, and indoor comfort she truly deserves. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
