About Dan
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Dan is a 6-year-old neutered male Treeing Walker Coonhound who came into rescue after being abandoned locally. He is a striking tricolor hound with a short, sleek coat. Dan absolutely loves the company of other dogs and thrives on trips to the dog park where he can socialize and play to his heart's content. People are Dan’s favorite, but be prepared—he may barrel into your life like a "bull in a china shop!" His playful, party-animal spirit brings smiles to everyone he meets, though he’s still learning basic manners and obedience. Adopters with a good sense of humor will appreciate his never-ending good moods and outgoing nature. Dan has never met a stranger and is always ready to make new friends. A fenced yard or strict leash routine is a must for Dan, as he tends to be a runner when given the chance. He is crate trained (and truly needs a crate), seems to be house trained, and continues to work on his manners. Dan is sweet and affectionate, especially after getting plenty of physical exercise.
