He first came to the rescue as a gentle kitten, got adopted, and then found himself returned through no fault of his own after four years. Salem’s next chapter was as an emotional support animal, providing comfort to a child with ASD and later to someone else in need. Despite giving his best, circumstances changed again and he ended up back at the rescue. Salem is genuinely loving and just wants to belong somewhere permanent. He’s always been sweet and patient—his previous experience with other cats is a bit mixed, but he managed life alongside another cat for a while.
