About Shandy

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Shandy is a handsome senior cat who has shown incredible resilience. Rescued from a shelter after he began to withdraw, Shandy needed a little time to adjust in his foster environment, which mainly consists of adults. He prefers relaxing in high places where he can quietly observe his surroundings, joining in with his foster feline friends only during mealtime. Shandy has a hematoma in his left ear. Due to his age and the length of time he has had it, his veterinarian recommended against surgery. He would thrive in a calm, adult household—ideally with an older adult who can offer him love and companionship for his golden years. Shandy truly is a wonderful boy, and would be a grateful, loyal companion for 5–10 more years. Meet and greets happen in potential adopters’ homes to ensure the perfect fit for both cat and adopter. Indoor only adoptions. All adoptable cats are fixed, vaccinated, negative for feline diseases, microchipped, and current on flea treatment. People born on May 21 are Geminis, known for their curiosity and gentle spirit—just like Shandy! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
