Meet Sweet Holly: Hoping to Be Home for the Holidays!! Looking for a home with no other cats. Fully vetted — a perfect little holiday miracle waiting for her person!!! Sweet Holly has already known more heartbreak than any cat should. But despite it all, she remains incredibly loving, gentle, and trusting with humans — a true testament to her beautiful spirit. Holly was found after renters moved out of a house and left her behind, alone and confused. The property owner would stop by and leave a bag of food for her, but Holly had no real comfort, no safety, and no one to call her own. Thankfully, one of our wonderful monthly donors — someone who has stood by our rescue through thick and thin — rushed to save her and got her to a vet, where Holly received a clean bill of health and a new chance at life. For a little while, Holly found a peaceful home with a loving neighbor who had no other animals, and she truly blossomed. But when that person had to move into a nursing home, Holly’s world shifted again, and she returned to her rescuer’s care this spring. Holly’s Personality Holly is incredibly affectionate with people — she lights up when someone enters the room, leans into petting, and clearly craves companionship. Because she is deaf, it’s believed she may have been attacked by another cat earlier in life, leaving her fearful and uncomfortable around other cats. She absolutely wants to be an only pet so she can relax, feel safe, and receive the love she deserves. She currently lives sequestered for her own comfort, and although her caregiver visits her daily, Holly is clearly lonely and longing for her very own person — someone who has time to sit with her, spoil her, and remind her that she will never be abandoned again. ?
