About Porter
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Porter, a truly unique and resilient dog with a big heart and a bigger personality. Porter’s early life was marked by months of fear and uncertainty, spending much of his time running and hiding, too scared to trust anyone. Thanks to some incredible rescuers and a caring member of the community who provided him with food and water, Porter finally found safety after a dramatic rescue. Now, Porter has left his days of running behind and is learning to embrace the joys of home life. While Porter can still be cautious with strangers at first, his playful and funny side shines through every day. He adores playing with other dogs in his foster home and cherishes quiet moments on the couch, especially when getting his chest rubbed. Porter even has a special volunteer who reads to him weekly, complete with a pup cup treat. What Porter needs most now is a patient, steady family who can offer him the calm and understanding environment he deserves as he continues growing in confidence. He is about 3.5 years old, weighs around 50 pounds, and has discovered the comfort of being a couch potato after his adventurous past. If you’re ready to give Porter the loving, secure home he’s been waiting for, don’t hesitate to apply. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
