Rue
AvailableRue is a mixed breed American Staffordshire Terrier and Manchester Terrier with a medium build and a short bicolor coat. He is an adult, estimated to be around 2 years old, and is currently located in Selma, CA. Rue has a shy temperament and is best suited for an adopter who understands his background.
About Rue
Rue grew up with his littermates out in the country after their pregnant mom was abandoned. Since early on, Rue and his siblings had little contact with people, so he learned to follow his mom’s lead and remains reserved around strangers. He’s taller than the other puppies and has a short bicolor coat. Life near the road and curiosity led his brother to wander away, making Rue and his remaining sister more cautious. Rue is about 2 years old, with the shy nature that comes from growing up away from busy homes. A patient, experienced adopter will need to spend time building trust, which will help Rue come out of his shell. Ideally, a foster home would help Rue make those steps toward confidence.
