This little guy has made impressive progressāhe recently recovered from an eye ulcer and is getting stronger every day. Percy is dewormed and will be neutered soon. He needs an experienced and patient adopter, ideally someone familiar with pugs or with shy, reactive dogs. Percy bonds deeply with his person but remains reserved or barky around strangers, particularly men. Neutering and ongoing socialization should help him continue building confidence. When Percy trusts you, he transforms into a total lovebug. His kisses come with full-body wiggles, and he lights up for his favorite toysāespecially BarkBox ones. He loves doing zoomies in the yard and makes endearing āpug talkā sounds when he wants attention. Percy wasnāt abused but did lack structure and affection before rescue; heās now learning that love can be safe. Percy is looking for a calm, predictable home. He should live with an experienced adopter (no young kids or chaotic settings), no cats, and ideally another friendly, calm dog to boost his confidence. He needs a secure yard or leashed walks, since he is a runner, and someone who is home often to give him consistent reassurance. Percy is housetrained, communicates when he needs to go out and come back in, enjoys car rides in his dog seat, and gets along well with the other pugs in his foster home.
