About Joey

Joey is a charming senior cat who joined Place For Cats in October 2023 after being on the NYC ACC At Risk list. Recently diagnosed with diabetes, Joey requires a daily insulin injection. However, administering this is straightforward, and most animals hardly notice the tiny needle. Despite initially being scared in the hectic shelter environment, Joey adapted quickly in his foster home and has become comfortable and friendly. He enjoys the company of his foster sibling and exhibits a sweet demeanor. Joey is also healthy, having tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please be aware that he is fostered on Staten Island, so applicants should be ready to travel for a meet-and-greet. To schedule this, prospective adopters must submit an application first.
