Honey is a three-year-old, neutered male Domestic Short Hair cat with a striking swirl tabby coat and a short, soft fur texture. He is fully house trained, up to date on his vaccinations, and currently lives in New York, NY. Honey is healthy and does not have special needs.

About Honey

Honey came to Place For Cats from NYC ACC and is a healthy, striking black swirl tabby with a soft, short coat. While shy at heart, Honey is quietly energetic—when he thinks no one is looking, he springs into playful action. Fostered alongside a busy crowd of young kittens, Honey gets along well with all of them, but his favorite companion is Petey, a 10-year-old neutered male cat. Photos show these two bonding closely, and Honey is always eager to wrestle or share a nap with Petey or his kitten pals. Honey is FeLV/FIV negative, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He had a tough recovery after his neuter surgery left him with a long scar along his belly following an infection and a week in the hospital. While he’s now fully recovered, the experience has made him even more reserved around people. Honey’s foster believes he and his friend Lavender would thrive if adopted together—Lavender’s confidence rubs off on Honey, helping him feel at ease. Honey needs a patient adopter willing to let him settle at his own pace and one who values the companionship of cats more than direct affection from the start.
