Dabney is a large, short-haired neutered male cat with a white and gray coat, currently in Anaconda, MT. Dabney gets along with cats, dogs, and children, and is known for being affectionate and social.

About Dabney

Dabney showed up as a stray near a middle school in Anaconda and quickly charmed his way into the hearts at Pintler Pets. He’s got no tail—a true Manx—and thanks to animal control and the local vet, he’s already neutered and up to date on vaccines. Dabney is known around the shelter for his outgoing personality and natural curiosity. Since arriving, he’s graduated to the unofficial title of “office cat” after making it clear he prefers people and laps to any old kennel. Give him an open lap and he’ll melt right in, turning himself inside-out to get as much attention as possible. You’ll find Dabney lounging in the catio or perched in a cat tower, content but always eager to socialize. He mixes confidently with other cats and seems comfortable with dogs and children alike. Because he’s a Manx, he does have limited control over his sphincter muscles, so he’ll need either a barn or shop setting, or a home that can help him keep his back end clean. He’s a fantastic companion for someone who can handle this small quirk—he’ll make it worthwhile with his easygoing affection and warm presence. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
