About Sake
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Sake arrived at the rescue with her brother Sushi when they were both just about six weeks old. Now a lively one-year-old, Sake is thought to be a Terrier/Chihuahua mix, although she looks quite different from her sibling and stands out with her unique yellow-tan coloring and soft, medium-length coat. Sake has a mild form of megaesophagus, a congenital condition where her esophagus is enlarged and swallowing can be more challenging. Luckily, her form is less severe than her brother's—she eats comfortably from a raised feeder, drinks water with no issues, and only occasionally needs to use her custom Bailey chair (which will be provided to her adopter in case she ever needs it again). There’s even a chance she might outgrow her condition with time. Full of playful energy, Sake is an active puppy who adores being around other dogs. She’s always curious about her surroundings and loves to stay busy, making her a wonderful choice for a family that can offer plenty of activity and engagement. While she may face challenges due to her condition, Sake doesn’t let it hold her back. She's searching for an experienced adopter who understands the special rewards and needs of a disabled pet and is willing to learn about and support her unique requirements. Sake is already spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, and is ready to bring lots of joy and activity to her new home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
