About Tab Hunter
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Tab Hunter is a wonderful, laid-back fella who just happens to be FIV positive. Unlike FeLV, FIV isn't a reason for worry if he's cared for by a knowledgeable veterinarian familiar with FIV cats and unwilling to leap to drastic actions for minor health issues. As his immune system is a bit weaker, it’s especially important to keep up with routine vet care and supply him with the very best nutrition and preventatives—just what any cat loves, but crucial for those with FIV or other immune sensitivities. Since joining his rescue, Tab Hunter has benefited from daily Lysine, typically sprinkled on his dry food, though any administration method is fine. He does best with top-loading litter boxes and clumping litter, though Pretty Litter is also recommended to help his humans detect any UTIs early. As a big, sweet natured boy, grooming isn't second nature for him yet, so be gentle and spontaneous when giving him a helping hand. Patience and kindness will let Tab Hunter's loving personality shine, and he truly deserves a safe, lifelong match after everything he’s been through. If you give him that chance, you’ll never regret it! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
