About Lily
Lily is a gentle senior who’s overcoming some big hurdles; she’s diabetic and has lost much of her vision, but she’s not letting that slow her down. Every day Lily gets a little more confident and comfortable, thanks to regular insulin care and loving attention. Despite her vision challenges, she’s sharp about discovering new surroundings—especially if there’s another dog to help guide her around or the sound of a treat dish nearby. She loves yard time, scratches and gentle company, and food always perks her up. Lily’s happiest in a calm, patient home where she can count on a steady routine as she continues learning how to navigate with her nose and ears. Volunteers say she’s brave, eager to trust, and leans into affection. She’s learning voice commands like "clear" and "step" to safely explore new spaces, and a volunteer is ready to help her and her future family adjust. She’s polite with other dogs, adapts well to house routines as long as she’s let out often, and easily earns the affection of everyone she meets. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
