About Sookie
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Sookie is making excellent progress in her foster home, thriving with the help of her caring caregivers. This sweet little Chihuahua is currently on medication to manage some spinal issues affecting her hind end, but she’s showing significant improvement every day. Although Sookie can be shy around strangers—a trait that posed challenges for her in the shelter—she has adjusted wonderfully in foster care and gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Slow introductions to the resident cats help prevent her from feeling overwhelmed, ensuring she adjusts comfortably at her own pace. Due to her medications, Sookie is working through some potty training challenges, but there is hope that she’ll master house training once she no longer needs the medication. She enjoys gentle walks and especially loves snuggling up for a cozy sleep in the big bed. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
