Rex is a joyful, food-loving pup with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He enjoys his walks, handles the leash well, and rarely reacts to distractions—even other dogs barking. Fetch is one of his favorite games, and he’s fantastic with kids, happily joining in on their fun and excitement. He’s still in a puppy-like stage, but with his love of chew toys (especially those nylon bones!) and his eagerness to learn, he’s both entertaining and endearing. Like many young dogs, new situations can be a little scary for Rex at first. Once he feels secure, his protective, affectionate side shines, and he becomes deeply devoted to his people. He’s mostly potty trained, is crate trained, sleeps through the night (especially if he gets to share your bed), and already knows commands like sit, lay down, and come. He does have a habit of exploring the world with his mouth and can be a bit of a counter surfer, so supervision and continued training will help him keep improving. Rex’s ideal home would be with an active family—perhaps a single mom with children he can dote on and join for car rides, walks, and backyard play. He warms up quickly, loves being involved in family life, and thrives in a home where he can be close to his humans. While he prefers to sleep with his people at night, he does best being crated when left alone. With his happy spirit and loyal nature, Rex is ready to bring energy, love, and laughter to a family who appreciates a playful companion.
