About Jolene
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Jolene is a sweet and gentle little girl who survived a difficult start in life, coming from a home with multiple dogs that weren’t receiving proper care. After visiting the vet, she has been spayed, microchipped, tested negative for heartworm, vaccinated against rabies and parvo/distemper, and is now ready for her next chapter. Jolene’s experiences have left her very shy and fearful when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, she is sure to blossom into a loving, loyal companion who just wants to snuggle and feel safe. Jolene will do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard and no children, as her skittish nature makes her a flight risk. She is doing well with her current caregiver and has made progress in building trust, weighing in at 17 lbs and gaining strength each day. Jolene has also shown positive interactions with other dogs but hasn’t been tested with cats. She is believed to have been born around May 26, 2023 and is ready to find a safe, loving forever home. Thank you so much for your interest in giving Jolene the second chance she deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Jolene
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dachshund/Chihuahua mixes typically thrive in calm, loving homes with attentive owners. They do well both in apartments and houses, as long as their exercise and companionship needs are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A small backyard or nearby park is usually enough outdoor space for a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. They enjoy walks and playtime but can also adapt to indoor play if needed.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
This mix can be suitable for homes with older, respectful children, especially if the dog is socialized well. Young or rambunctious children may make them nervous due to their sensitive nature.
