About Ben

Isn’t this one strikingly beautiful guy? This is Ben and he is something really special in so many ways. If you’ve been following us, you may remember that Ben was one of our FIP kitties who has now earned the title “FIP Survivor” (Yay, Ben!) After enduring the 80+ injections that saved him from the deadly FIP diagnosis, he was then diagnosed with FELV which is feline leukemia. This guy has not been able to catch a break ?… until now! We have received super great news about his FELV status and we’re comfortable putting him up for adoption! We would love to talk to you and tell you all about Ben. First and most importantly, we humans cannot get sick from him. Because of his diagnosis, he’s considered a “special needs” cat and should be the one and only cat in your home because other cats may be able to get sick from him. Having Ben as your only cat would be okay because he’s the kind of cool cat that gives us humans everything we could possibly want in a cat! He’s playful in that kitty/cat sort of way; he loves attention and wants to be on your lap; he’s super engaging and interactive with us humans. Ben is loving. Because of his FELV diagnosis, we don’t know how long Ben will live and thrive… but of course, that could be said for all of us, right? If you would like the opportunity to bring this special guy into your home, please reach out to us, we would love to tell you all about him. Don’t be hesitant, we’re here to walk you through life with Ben and give you all the help, information and guidance you might need. Complete and application to meet Ben, we’d love to talk with you! Each animal in our program is:   Examined by a vet (cats are also FIV/FELV tested)   Vaccinated *   Microchipped   Spayed or neutered **   Rehabilitated, if necessary   Cared for in a loving foster home Each adoption will go through an adoption application and a candid but friendly interview process. We want to make sure that the adoption is the BEST fit for everyone involved. We always put the animal's best interest first. Kittens are most often adopted in pairs *unless you already have a young cat at home* * Vaccinations are age appropriate.  For example kittens and puppies will need multiple boosters in their first year and are often too young for some vaccines at the time of adoption.  We suggest you consult your vet within two weeks of adoption. ** Some animals may be adopted on Sterilization contracts.
