Although Jyri isn’t quite as huggable as the Squishmallow he’s named after, he’ll happily win you over with his gentle personality. Originally found as a stray and briefly cared for by a kind finder, Jyri arrived at the shelter a bit shy but undeniably sweet. He may be head-shy when first meeting you, but once the leash goes on, he walks with quiet confidence. In the play yard, Jyri loves to explore, slowly warming up to new friends with soft tail wags, accepting treats and chin scratches. Volunteers see so much potential—Jyri is looking for a patient family who can help him build his confidence at his own pace. He shares his kennel with another pup and has shown playful, social energy in the company of other dogs during playgroups.
