Jyri
AvailableJyri is a male Pit Bull Terrier, large in size, and currently located in Tucson, AZ. He is neutered and ready for a patient adopter who can help him settle into a new home.
About Jyri
Jyri has a soft spot for treats—a true fan of cakes, cookies, and anything with a hint of sweetness. Though the resemblance to a Squishmallow is cute, Jyri still needs a bit of time before he’s fully ready for all the cuddles. Picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter after a short stay with his finder, Jyri shows a shy but sweet demeanor. Volunteers consistently see a sensitive boy who’s still figuring things out, needing a patient adopter to help him come out of his shell. Once outside, he’s tentative to leash but grows more comfortable as he explores and gets to know his people. Treats and gentle chin scratches coax out happy tail wags—even a glimmer of confidence starts to show. Jyri has potential and just needs patience as he learns to trust. He enjoys the company of dogs, having shown playfulness and sociability with his kennel mate and in playgroups. Give Jyri the calm, gentle environment he deserves so he can flourish into the relaxed, loving companion he’s meant to be. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
