Ivan has known what it's like to be overlooked for all the wrong reasons. Originally adopted from a Florida shelter, Ivan was returned not because of his behavior, but because the adopter's relative was uncomfortable due to the stigma around his breed mix. Since then, he's been proving just how wonderful he is through the Triple E Program at Dogs Playing for Life's Canine Center Florida (CCF). Ivan knows sit, place, loose-leash walking, and how to wait at open doors. He's worked closely with professional trainers and volunteers to master these skills. Ivan is dog-selective and plays best with other rough-and-rowdy dogs who match his style. He's made many dog friends with the help of thoughtful, structured introductions. Our team will gladly conduct a safe meet and greet for an adopter who has another dog to ensure a good match! Staff report that Ivan has been affectionate, engaged, and eager to bond with people.
