This cute face is Isadora (or we call her Izzy). She is a 2 1⁄2 year old foster pup that we've had with us for just over a week. Except for an accident the first night home after coming out of the kennel, she seems well potty trained. Izzy is super friendly, walks nicely on a leash, is good with other dogs both on and off leash. She went to an outdoor rally with lots of people and other dogs and did just fine. We haven't seen her with cats or children yet. She goes happily into her crate at night and stays quiet until we let her out in the morning. We have been able to leave her uncrated in the house during the day for up to an hour and a half without any trouble which is great since she has a history of separation anxiety. We are choosing not to crate her during the day as she had a bad experience with that when she was younger and so far, she's done well. She likes toys, but especially enjoys them if we are interacting with her with them. She was good when taking a shower/bath, but more anxious in having nails trimmed. She rides well in the car and can be left in it for short periods of time while we run errands. Isadora is very active and loves walks, but also, after getting her exercise, likes to be chill and cuddly. Izzy is still learning basic commands. She seems to have been taught sit and come, but is still learning to be consistent at following those cues. We have been working with her on learning stay as well. With consistent training, we think she could be a very polite pup. She is very people oriented and wants to please. Izzy is not a big girl(40 ish pounds)... but she is young and strong, so needs firm and consistent people to guide and love her. She just laid her head in my lap as I'm writing this. She really wants a forever home.??
