Steve is a young male Domestic Short Hair with a medium build and a warm orange tabby coat. He has a short coat and is both house trained and neutered, with his vaccinations up to date. Currently located at Pet Adoption and Welfare Services of OK (PAWS-OK), Steve requires an indoor-only home due to his FIV-positive status. He does not get along with cats unless they are also FIV positive.

About Steve

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Steve is an affectionate young cat, surrendered to PAWS along with his roaming friend Pam—both well known in a NW OKC neighborhood for their sweet personalities. After arriving in our care, it was discovered that Steve is FIV positive. While FIV is not a death sentence for healthy, well-cared-for indoor cats, it's important to know it can be spread to other felines through serious fights or mating. That means Steve would do best as a solo cat or as a companion to another FIV-positive cat in an indoor-only home to help keep everyone healthy and happy. Steve might be a bit shy at first, but once you win his trust, he reveals a deeply sweet side and welcomes affection. If you are considering adopting a pair, Steve and Pam could make a wonderful match—otherwise, Steve will thrive in a home that understands the needs of FIV-positive cats. Fun fact: with a February 11th birthday, Steve is an Aquarius—known for their quirky and friendly personalities, just like him! Click apply to start the adoption process.
