About Toby

Toby is a senior Pitsky with a ton of personality packed into 70 lbs. After being rescued from a tough situation in New Mexico, his fosters noticed right away how much joy and affection he brings. Even at 8–10 years old, Toby plays hard, keeping up with younger dogs and filling the house with his silly play bows and happy antics. He has a knack for making people laugh—whether he's doing his signature couch-half-perch or waddling for butt scratches. This guy genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs, does well with kids, and is likely to get along with cats, too. Meal times, cuddles, car rides, and naps in the sun all feature highly in his day. Toby is house trained, knows the dog door, is crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. He recovers well from past adversity, staying resilient and sweet even after a recent dog attack. He’s ready for a home ready to shower him with attention and security. If you're after a loving, goofy senior dog who fits easily into family life, Toby is eager to meet you.
