Meet Guy Smiley! He is guessed to be around 3 years old and weighs 11 lb. He is looking for a very special home who has lots of patience and desire to help save a dog that needs lots of understanding. Guy Smiley is extremely fear aggressive and will bite when scared. It took us months to even touch him, but now he will allow us to pet him. Building his trust takes a long time, lots of treats, and the skill and patience needed to keep both him and you safe. We don't want to sugarcoat it - he is a difficult dog - but we think with the right person we really believe he has the ability to flourish. He needs to be put under for nail trims. Guy Smiley is crate trained and he does amazing at going outside to potty. He gets along with cats and seems to be ok with coexisting with other dogs, but we haven't yet let him free with the other dogs to know how he is 100%. Based on what we have learned about him, we think he would do well with other dogs who would leave him alone. He really seems to like my 6 year old son - but he has not been allowed to touch him yet.
