About Gutherie
Gutherie marches to the beat of his own drum. Heās not much for cuddling or lap timeāthink more "look, donāt touch." If youāre hoping for a dog who's always underfoot or pining for affection, Gutherie isnāt interested. He fancies himself a big herding dog, keeping the other pups in line at home, particularly when itās dinner time. Petting is on his terms only. Pick him up and youāll see a side of him that resembles an indignant goat. Raised in a tough situation with many other dogs, he hasnāt learned to love human touch. But heās not a biterāat least, not typically. No long walks or lots of public outings for this guy; heās happy darting around like a pigeon let loose indoors. He tolerates dogs and doesnāt mind cats, but children or people who expect a companion? Not his scene. House training is a question mark, but he does use the outdoors. Youāll need a secure fenced yard (a moat wouldnāt hurt), as Gutherie believes the entire neighborhood is his kingdom. Heās neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, and being treated for Lyme disease. Give this quirky little herder a shot if youāre up for the challenge. Start your journey together! Apply now.
