About Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime's adoption fee is half-sponsored, making it a little easier to bring this playful, affectionate senior home. At nearly ten, Prime has put his puppy habits behind him—he’s house-trained, settling well into routines, and has picked up crate training. He still has plenty of energy and will happily chase a ball or keep himself busy with a chew toy if you’re tied up. Fetch is his passion, and he’ll keep playing as long as you let him. Prime adjusts well to all sorts of adventures, from city walks to quieter parks. He rides well in the car and is easy to handle on leash, always ready to explore anywhere with plenty of sniffing. He learns quickly, loves praise and treats, and lives for a “good boy.” When the day winds down, Prime wants to be close—he’ll wriggle under the covers for maximum snuggles or contentedly crash on his own bed or crate. He gives out endless affection and steady companionship. While he’s lived peacefully with a cat, Prime is best as the only dog in the home. He should avoid living with young children, as he prefers a calmer space. Despite a rough start—including time on a euthanasia list—he’s ready for a loyal family to treasure him. Born June 12, Optimus Prime is a true Gemini—adaptable and always up for something new. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
