About Diamond
Diamond is a nine-year-old Shepherd and Lab mix who came back to Pet Friends after her original family could no longer keep her. Don’t let her age fool you—while Diamond is considered a senior, she still has good energy and enjoys a game of fetch or a relaxing walk. She's not looking for huge adventures, though; a short stroll or a round of tennis ball is enough to make her happy. After some movement, she’ll settle right in for a scratch and some company. Diamond prefers to be the only dog in the home, as she’s dog reactive, and she doesn’t get along with cats. She’s happiest as the center of your world. Volunteers have noticed she knows basic commands and is house trained. On leash she gets excited and pulls hard at first, but once she’s got her bearings, she likes being out with her person. Diamond would be a great fit for someone who appreciates a dog that’s past the wild puppy stage but still active and very much alive. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
