Selena is a 2-year-old small-to-medium-sized mixed breed with a gentle soul and a brave heart. She came to Paws Humane Society on February 20, 2025, after surviving an incredibly difficult start to life-rescued from a dog-fighting ring in early June of 2024. Despite her painful past, Selena is learning every day what love, safety, and kindness truly feel like. Because of her background, Selena will need to be the only pet in the home. She's still working on her leash manners, recall, and basic obedience, but she's eager to learn and is making progress with time and consistency. When it comes to people, Selena may seem shy at first-but once she realizes you're a friend, she melts into an affectionate, snuggly sweetheart. She craves connection and is slowly building the confidence she needs to trust the world again. Selena is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue healing and growing.
