About Brinley & Melba
Brinley & Melba arrived at the rescue under tough circumstances—both pregnant, both unsure of people, just trying to survive. Brinley took to motherhood naturally, raising her litter of four and caring for them with patience and devotion. Melba, more reserved and skittish, also gave birth and began the slow, steady process of acclimating to a safer life indoors. Over time, the two bonded. Now, Brinley & Melba rely on one another, doing everything side by side—eating, sleeping, and finding security in their shared company. These adult cats are best suited for an experienced adopter who understands the patience required with shy, formerly feral cats. They do not get along with dogs but are comfortable with other cats, and being adopted as a pair is essential for their happiness. Born in March, they're both Aries—known for their independent streak. They have blossomed in foster care but need a stable, cat-savvy home to keep making progress and to truly thrive.
