January 14th, 2025, started out like any other day, especially for a puppy braving the cold alone after a storm—until everything changed, and Booth got a name. From that moment on, he belonged somewhere. Loyalty is Booth’s hallmark; he’s the kind of dog who invests in his person, truly bonds, and waits for them at the door, ready to celebrate every homecoming. Booth isn’t the neighborhood socialite or eager for every passerby’s attention. He reserves his best for those he trusts, sticking close and choosing his inner circle carefully. He lives with two other dogs right now—a puppy and a Malinois—playing the big brother role well but always under supervision. Booth is very dog-selective: he’ll need an adopter who understands this boundary, keeps things structured, and either provides him a dog-free home or is patient and experienced in slow introductions. He’s excellent with cats, especially those confident enough to play with him. Booth’s fencing requirements are strict—a privacy fence is a must as he’ll scale or climb chain link, regardless of height. Crate trained, he manages well overnight or for short periods but gets anxious when kenneled beyond three hours. Recently, he’s been left out in the house with minimal issues. Booth is leash trained, rides comfortably in cars, and enjoys his routines—walks, yard time with sticks and balls, and quiet time without visitors. He doesn’t care for strangers and lets his person know if anyone is in his space, preferring to hang back and warm up slowly during introductions.
