About Chase

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Chase is searching for his forever home, and he's ready to bring plenty of love and fun to the right family. At just 9-10 months old, Chase is a charming mix of shepherd and Labrador retriever, with some other adorable traits thrown in. Medium-sized and fully grown at about 45 pounds, he’s the perfect playmate for another pup—Chase really needs a home with a dog buddy who enjoys romping in a securely fenced yard. He’s always lived with other playful dogs, gets along with dogs of all sizes, and thrives in their company. While he hasn’t met cats, a slow introduction should work well. Chase makes gentle connections with people and children alike, offering sweet snuggles and a friendly paw. He’s crate trained, house trained, and knows several commands, though he’s still learning about the world and may need some puppy-proofing, as shoes sometimes look a little too tempting! Leash-walking is a newer adventure for him, so a patient family willing to build his confidence would be ideal. His one ear up, one ear down look is sure to make you smile, and after romping outdoors or playing with his friends, Chase is quick to seek out a warm lap for cuddles. Bedtime finds him either under or on the bed, happily sighing as he settles in for the night. Chase is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines and heartworm prevention. Being born on August 18 makes him a Leo, which means he’s likely to shine as the playful heart of your family. If Chase sounds like the companion you’re looking for, make sure to have another friendly dog ready to welcome him home—and of course, a fenced yard for plenty of safe play. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
