About Bernie And Baxter
Bernie and Baxter are a tight-knit pair of terrier brothers who need a quiet, stable home. They want to be with people who appreciate lap dogs—they stick close and crave a lot of contact. They’re looking for someone with lots of presence, ideally a retiree or someone who works from home, since both boys are very needy and don’t like to be left alone. Their early years were rocky, so they carry some anxiety and take a little while to settle in, especially around men. But with patience, they warm up and become dedicated snugglers. Their bond is something special—they often curl up together and always keep an eye on one another. Bernie grins in a way that lights up a room, and Baxter is impossibly sweet and loves to nestle. Both are playful when they feel secure and love to run around safely off-leash with other dogs. Baxter will nap in your arms, while Bernie seeks out your head as a pillow at night. They’re house trained, small, and have a charming wire coat. These are affectionate, unique dogs whose favorite relationship is still with each other. Ready to fall in love?
