Max is a young, large mixed-breed dog—likely a blend of Labrador Retriever and Staffordshire Bull Terrier—living in Margate, FL. His coat is short and comes in shades of apricot and chestnut. He’s neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and gets along well with both dogs and children, though not with cats. Max is friendly, responsive, and has made a full recovery since joining rescue.

About Max

Meet Max, a resilient and loving terrier mix with a heart as big as his story. Found wandering the streets and left to fend for himself, Max arrived at the rescue dehydrated, starving, and infested with fleas. Even through it all, he never lost his gentle nature. Since joining rescue, Max has transformed. His affectionate side shines through every day, and he greets everyone—human or canine—with an open, wagging tail. He knows his basic commands, is house trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated. Living with a family is new for him, but he’s rapidly learning to relax and enjoy being safe and loved. Max does great with other dogs and is friendly with children, but isn’t a match for homes with cats. He’s got a short, apricot and chestnut coat, and at approximately 65 lbs, he’s right in that solid, large-dog category. A home check is required for adopters, so be sure you’re open to that step if you want to meet him. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
