Maddox is a sweet, small Miniature Pinscher with a gentle soul who weighs about 18 lbs and is around 3 years old. His journey hasn’t been easy—originally part of a hoarding case, then surrendered when his previous owner could no longer care for him. Understandably, he’s skittish and startles easily, especially outdoors, but he’s warming up with time and patience. Maddox absolutely needs a fenced yard for his security, as leash walks make him increasingly nervous, particularly when there’s a lot of activity or noise outside. This little guy comes alive with other dogs—he blossoms with canine companions and requires another dog in his new home to build confidence and feel comfortable. His play style is lively and quirky; he’ll use his paws to invite play and then dash off in playful chases around the yard. He gets along with cats and other dogs, and though children outside can make him anxious, inside he’ll accept their gentle attention. For those open to a bonded pair, Maddox is especially close to another dog, Butler, with whom he shares a playful friendship. Maddox is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
