Joanie
AvailableJoanie is a female Labrador Retriever in Holly Springs, NC. She has been spayed, is house trained, and her vaccinations are current. As an adult large breed, sheās left her challenging past behind and is enjoying comfort and care in her foster home.
About Joanie
Joanie came from rough beginningsāliving outdoors in a crowded and neglected space with many other dogs. Life was about survival and raising litters. Those days are behind her now. These days, Joanie has a full coat of fur and is much happier. Sheās a gentle, sweet soul still gaining confidence from her foster home. People are new to her, so sheās reserved and needs patience to come out of her shell. She loves time near her foster parents and zips between her crate and their company in fits of zoomie energy. Her crate is her safe place. Sheāll need a home with a securely fenced backyard, as she prefers privacy when outside and feels safest with her own space. Joanie is house trained and has learned to walk on leash, though vet visits make her a bit anxious. Sheās passionate about toysāespecially ripping out stuffing! A quieter home with one or two adults and a friendly resident dog would suit her best. Sheās come so far and just needs a calm, loving adopter whoāll let her set the pace.
