About Merlin
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Merlin is a distinguished, approximately 3 ½ year old, neutered male tabby cat with handsome white markings. After being abandoned in an apartment, Merlin needed time to rebuild trust with people. His journey to recovery was marked by patience and understanding, as he started off cautious and protective of his space, needing several weeks before accepting affection. Now, with those he trusts, Merlin purrs contentedly, enjoys gentle pets, and even rolls over for a soft belly rub on occasion. While he sometimes delivers little love nips when overstimulated or wants to be left alone, he quickly relaxes once it’s clear his boundaries will be respected. Merlin is not your average family cat; he seeks a very specific kind of adopter—someone patient, calm, and willing to give him the time needed to bond and build trust. He appreciates companionship on his terms, lying next to you while observing the world outside, but being picked up or held must be introduced gradually and gently. Due to his temperament, Merlin is not suited for homes with children or other pets. He’s searching for a serene, safe space where he can thrive with someone who truly understands his needs. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
