About Neptune

Neptune is a super loving dog, a great mix of energy and cuddle bug. He is beautiful and athletic. Back in the day when people actually played frisbee, we would say be a great frisbee dog. He is dog friendly and loves the companionship of another dog. He's very submissive to other dogs. The key factor we're looking for is an active home, athletic home, a home of tasks and especially another dog. He obviously has had a bad start and we don't like to start out with bad notes but we want to be up front. Currently he is being fostered with the rescue owner who has had absolutely no issue with Neptune's behavior. He obviously has gone through something in his past. He has been in two foster homes wherein he was reactive to a young male in first home, good with an older alpha male and great with the female of the house. His second Foster was very short-termed, The living situation left him unsettled as he was kept outside for the first two nights in a semi country type setting. More details can be shared at the time of consideration. Current assessment shows that he has a lot of energy initially out the gate that needs to be appropriated down properly to continue to condition his long-term personality in the proper way. He responds great to alpha personality ownership with absolutely no issue, when it is the appropriate alpha role. The home focus for Neptune will be an alpha experience person that can provide the security backing he needs as Neptune matures and becomes more confident. The target home needs to provide adequate tasks or exercise to maintain Neptune's levels and growth to successful grounding. He's incredibly intelligent, loving, beautiful inside and out. He just needs a proper fine tuning to be a great dog. He's very young and just needs a very solid pathway. If you are an experienced alpha owner that can offer a home with another dog, this would be very beneficial to his long-term goal. Beach time, pools, lakes, hiking type activities would do wonders for Neptune at least for his first couple years while he matures and grows into a grounded world. He really is a great dog. He just needs to know he's safe forever. Though he has had some negative impacts with male figures, he's also displayed very positive handling and approaches of men out in public. He just needs consistency and a positive manner. If you want to save a great life, please reach out to us as soon as possible. His growth won't happen if he doesn't have one-on-one companionship to lead the way. We greatly appreciate your consideration! *Not recommended with young children at this time All adoptions are processed as Foster to Adopt to give time for Rescue to evaluate if applicant(s) and the rescue dog are appropriate matched after a period of time of acclimation has appropriately been applied or experienced before life commitments are made TEXT FOR FASTER RESPONSE to inquiries: 323-558-8094 Email:paradeofpawsrescue@gmail.com For more pictures and videos please follow us on IG: @paradeofpawsdogrescue Ask us about our GREAT out of town adoption process!
