About Dukelap Dog! Loves To
Updated 11/25/25: Please help Duke! This super cuddly and affectionate boy has been in foster care for awhile now, but his foster family is leaving on a long vacationā¦he needs a new foster, or better yet, an adopter! Why Duke is pawsome, from his foster mom: ⢠Calm sweetheart who mostly enjoys just laying & resting in the sun ⢠Extremely smart and listens/follows direction well ⢠Enjoys walks, which are mostly sniff events ⢠Loves people, needs some time with new people ⢠Very treat motivated and easily trained with repetition ⢠Adjusts well to new routines with time ⢠Can be a bit jumpy at times, so not recommended for young children ⢠Attaches stronger to men at first but is an equal opportunity dog ⢠Fully house trained ⢠While he loves to always be cuddling with his humans, he is just as happy being on his own but within site of his people ⢠Likes to sleep on the bed with his humans, but has learned to sleep in his assigned spot so everyone gets a good nights sleep ⢠Has gone through formal training and assessed that with additional exposure & repetition could be good with other dogs. He shows no signs of aggression, but was likely under socialized as a puppy and hasnāt yet learned appropriate dog play. Would be best to start as an only dog. ⢠Enjoys squeaky toys and expresses his happiness by playing with them ⢠Suggested for kids in their upper teens ⢠Duke chased the cats in his former adoptive home so we dont think cats would enjoy his company. ⢠Just under 3 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped To meet Duke, please complete a dog adoption application on our website or contact our dog team at dog@oahs.org or 920-424-2128 ext.108.
