About Steve

Steve is a gentle old soul wrapped in a puppy's energy. He weighs in at about 50lbs and, despite a rough start in life, he's made serious progress with house training and learning to trust people. Steve enjoys calm walks on a leash and, once he's comfortable, always appreciates a soft rub. He takes comfort in his squeaky toys, cozy blanket, and treats. Patience is key—he does best in a home that will give him the space and time to settle in. Recently, Steve had corrective eye surgery and has made a great recovery. He's neutered and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. Though he is gentle around small children, Steve needs time to warm up before he feels playful.
