About Snoop Dogg
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet snoop dogg, also fondly referred to as Snoop, D O Double G, Baby Boy, Big Man, snoop snoop snoop dawg, Snoopy, and Snoopy-doop. He’s a one-of-a-kind, long-haired, fluffy mix—a Pittie-Poo if you like to be fancy—blending Poodle, Golden, and Pit Bull into a cuddly muppet lookalike. At about a year and a half old, this 82-pound gentle goofball was brought into rescue after landlord changes left him without a home. While first shy and nervous, snoop dogg’s big heart wins over everyone as he bravely offers his paw to new friends and soaks up affection. His energy level is moderate: he loves daily walks, tennis balls (carried, chased, or fetched), and any play involving tug of war or treat puzzles, but he settles well when it’s time to relax and cuddle. He’s incredibly smart, mastering commands like sit, stay, paw, and down, and he’s gentle with treats. Snoop is crate trained and house trained with a good routine, and he’s excellent on leash, especially after the fun of the initial leash game. He’s got a sense of humor—his gallop is reminiscent of a tiny horse, and he occasionally shows off his wrestling moves with dogs of all sizes. Snoop is sensitive and loving, especially with his foster families, but he takes time to warm up to visitors and would thrive in a low-traffic home where he can meet new people slowly. He’s best with dog-savvy kids 10 and up and would be perfect for families who adore interactive play, especially those skilled at tossing a baseball or tennis ball. Cats, though, are a bit too exciting for him. Snoop is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines, and is available for adoption to loving families in IL, CT, and surrounding states. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
