About Mookie Mae
Mookie Mae is still figuring people out, but she loves being around her family in her own quiet way. She’s not big on being touched, though her foster mom has managed some careful cuddles, and she’ll occasionally show her affection with a nudge or gentle touch. Mookie lives for time spent with her cat friends—in fact, her best buddy is a gentle older cat who lets her snuggle up for naps. She prefers mellow, respectful dogs and tends to hang back if things get rowdy, but she’ll indulge a doggy kiss from time to time. Windows, cat trees, and dog beds make up her Kingdom of Cozy Spots, but she won’t pass up a kitchen visit when she knows breakfast is coming. A ball is her treasured toy, and bug-hunting is a serious sport. While Mookie doesn’t want to be chased or handled too much, she’s easygoing and content to lounge nearby, chirping if she has something to say or requesting a Churu treat. She’d do best with a cat companion in a patient household with older kids or adults who respect her pace. Start your journey together! Apply now.
