Hershey started life in a tough spot, hunkered down with a group of 13 other cats in an empty house. Once he landed safely at the shelter, he was nervous—right up until he realized he was finally somewhere safe. After treatment for ear mites, a full round of vaccinations, and being neutered, Hershey has absolutely come out of his shell. These days, he’s relaxed, eager for attention, and has a talent for non-stop purring. Hershey gets along well with other cats and would do fine solo or with a feline companion. He tolerates calm, respectful dogs, but doesn’t want to share his home with those who are overly boisterous. Hershey’s main wish is for steady love and a family to call his own.
