About Simon
Simon is the kind of dog who keeps everyone on their toes—in a good way. He’s a 1-year-old Pitbull mix, bright and goofy with a sweet streak you can’t help but fall for. You won’t find him lying around all day. He’s got a medium-high energy level, loves to play hard, and welcomes everyone with an open, wiggly grin. Watching Simon interact with his canine foster siblings is pure joy, and his habit of perching in the window to watch the world is as endearing as it gets. He’s happiest with toys, treats, car rides, and as much attention as he can get. Simon is friendly with people and learning to keep all four paws on the floor when meeting new faces. He knows basic commands like sit and paw, is crate- and house-trained, and does well with dogs—he could benefit from some focused leash work, especially around other dogs. He’s mouthy when amped up, so he’ll thrive with structure and some patient training. Kids 10 and up are his best fit, and another dog in the home would be fantastic for him. A fenced yard where he can cut loose is a definite plus. Simon is neutered, vaccinated, and loves to cuddle without being needy. He’s available for adoption in IL, CT, and neighboring states.
