About Lexi

Lexi has weathered a rough start, surviving neglect and abandonment before being rescued. She’s around 8 years old and was found with another younger dog and two cats, left without food or water for days. Before she came in, her nails were severely overgrown and her skin was suffering from untreated flea dermatitis. What’s astonishing is, after a life like that, Lexi remains unfailingly gentle and sweet. She’s patient, especially with her pushy younger dog companion, and seems to have mothered generations of children in her previous household. Lexi is just now learning leash skills and is doing well with a Halti. Inside, she’s very calm, house trained, and loves to curl up in her bed or play with toys in the yard.
