Crouton does not have special needs. He’s looking for a home that understands and admires his independent nature.

About Crouton

Crouton is a 10-year-old cat with a strong, independent streak and even stronger boundaries. Found south of Pittsburgh in rough shape, he survived a severe, ulcerated mass on his paw caused by advanced pillow paw. After surgery and a lengthy recovery, Crouton bounced back in both health and spirit. He’s fierce about one thing: hands-off. Crouton once allowed human touch when he was ill, but those days are behind him. Whether you’re offering pets or snuggles, Crouton declines—with conviction. He does, however, make time for meals and loves the company of other cats. He remains playful despite his age and would prefer a home with at least one feline companion. Crouton is best suited for adopters who appreciate cats from a distance and won’t expect cuddles or lap time. He’s a beautiful presence for those who respect his boundaries and will fit perfectly into a home with cat-savvy residents. Crouton is neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He’s also a Sagittarius—no surprise given his bold spirit. His adoption fee is fully waived for the right home. Start your journey together! Apply now.
