About Corina

Start your journey together! Apply now. 🖤 Meet Corina -- a quiet soul with a heart full of hope 🖤 Almost 5 years old, Corina has been waiting patiently for her second chance since 2021, when she came to us from a difficult past. She faced challenges in her former home, but she remains hopeful for a gentle, loving forever family. When Corina arrived, she tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which impacts her immune system. However, FIV+ cats like Corina can live long, healthy lives with proper vet care, high-quality food, and an indoor lifestyle. The virus is not spread through everyday interaction—only through serious bite wounds—so it’s safe for FIV-negative and FIV-positive cats to live together in harmony, especially in peaceful homes. Corina is a soft-spoken sweetheart who appreciates a calm and patient environment. She can be shy at first, needing time and gentle encouragement to feel truly comfortable. She would do best in a quiet home, possibly with another mellow cat friend to help her adjust, and can also live with older, respectful children. Corina enjoys cozying up under blankets and quietly dreaming of a safe, understanding home. If you are someone who values giving overlooked cats a chance and understands that trust is built day by day, Corina may be exactly who your heart is looking for. Fun fact: Corina was born under the sign of Virgo, making her especially gentle and thoughtful, often seeking calm and comfort in her surroundings. You can meet Corina in our dedicated FIV room at the Ohio SPCA & Humane Society and help her take the next step toward the loving home she deserves. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
