About Bridger
Bridger is a large, affectionate guy who needs a little time to settle in with new people and environments. He lived with a toddler and another dog in foster, but is currently in boarding while waiting for a new home. When he first came into rescue, he’d been shot through his left ear, which left him with chronic infections requiring surgery. That ear now just needs regular maintenance with drops and cleaning to prevent any flare-ups. Bridger knows how to sit and takes treats gently. He’s crate trained, but thanks to the instability of recent months, his house training has slipped. He used to be reliably potty trained, so with patience and a routine, he’ll likely get back on track quickly. He enjoys outdoor time and does best meeting new dogs in a calm, neutral, off-leash setting; afterwards, he can walk beside them quite comfortably. Born on July 11, Bridger is a Cancer, so it’s no wonder he likes the comfort of familiar people once he trusts you. He’s looking for someone who understands he just wants a steady place to call home.
